Join our Board of Directors
We’re accepting applications through August 21st, 2023.
The Insight Alliance is recruiting 4-5 new members for our Board of Directors. We are a driven, joyful, and creative team of individuals who are committed to anti-racism, inclusion and criminal justice reform. We recognize that the root causes of mass incarceration and recidivism are complex and intersectional. Our theory of change starts at the individual level and sparking insights that lead to radical transformation. We believe that no one is broken and that every person has everything they need already inside of them.
Anyone interested in joining our team is encouraged and welcome to apply. We are especially looking for new board members who bring skills or knowledge in the following areas:
Lived experience related to our mission
Connection to the 3 Principles community
Experience with nonprofit financial management
Someone who works for a bank or financial institution
Connection to Multnomah County Behavioral Health or Department of Community Justice
Major donor strategy and solicitation
Before you apply, we encourage you to read through our board member roles and responsibilities. We ask all new board members to sign a board agreement when they join the team, so we want to make sure it’s clear what we’re asking of you.
Application Process
July 17 - August 21, 2023: Applications OPEN.
August 29, 2023: Applicants are notified if they have been moved on to the interview round.
August 29 - September 15, 2023: Interviews with applicants. These take approximately 45 min - 1 hour.
September 18 - 22, 2023: Final selections are determined and candidates are notified.
September 25, 2023: First board meeting for new board members.
