About the Artist
Blue is a Portland born artist and the Community Manager of ADX. Blue works in a variety of mediums including wood burning, pencil, paint, wood, and resin. He is currently working on an installation in the Multnomah County Parole and Probation Office after receiving a RACC grant. The project includes wood burned sacred geometry, as well as a series titled The Insight Alliance that consists of 6 large pieces that feature the words of wrongfully incarcerated humans. It will also include Gallery Blue, 20 frames that will house the work of currently and formerly incarcerated people. He is making the frames by hand from reclaimed wood acquired from Salvage Works. The wood as seen adversity and weathered storms, but is undeniably beautiful.
